You invested in the bike. You dialed in the fit. You ride consistently. But something is holding you back. Power plateaus. Discomfort on long rides. Recovery that takes longer than it used to. You know your body can do more but you just don’t know where to start.
These aren't signs of aging. They're fixable physical limiters. Most riders never identify them because they don’t know where to look.
When the body isn't moving optimally, it will effect every aspect of your ride. If you dont have the required range of motion in a joint, the ability to generate stability when the body needs it, the strength to maintain optimal body postiton on long rides, the force to generate the power your ride demands, you're not only leaving performace on the table, but you're shortening your longevity on the bike.
All these can be improved upon, you just need to know where to look. That's why I developed this off-bike assessment specific for cycling athletes. If you want to ride better now, and see yourself riding 10, 20 years from now, it's non-negotiable. Optimize your body off the bike so you can ride better for years to come.
R
Range of Motion
The wear of repetitive movements in daily life and hours on the bike takes a toll on the body. The riding position contributes to shortened hip flexors, a stiff thoracic spine, and tight hips over time. We assess the mobility your body is currently working with — and identify how it's limiting your performance and comfort on the bike.
I
Integrity
Cycling is repetitive and asymmetrical. When the body cannot move optimally, it shifts its movement patterns to compensate. What may seem like not a big deal at first, over hours and years of riding, becomes the new “normal”. We look to identify imbalances and compensations your body has developed to get by, but are now reducing your efficiency and limiting your future longevity on the bike.
D
Durability
Power on the bike comes from strong muscles and stability. We look at the muscular foundation that determines how strong and consistent your output remains. Everyone knows the importance of strength for our weekly rides but we also want that strength a decade from now.
E
Efficiency
Strength alone isn't enough. We assess how effectively your body transfers that strength into power. We examine movement quality, positional endurance, and the biomechanics that separate a body that works with the bike from one that fights it.
R
Resilience
Cyclists ride because they love it. They want to enjoy it for years to come and need a body to support it. We evaluate how well your body recovers, adapts, and holds up over time — the factors that determine whether you're still climbing strong in your 60s, 70s, and for decades to come.
75 minute off bike performance assessment specific to cyclists: road cyclists, gravel riders, mountain bikers
Scored across five performance pillars: Range of motion, Integrity, Durability, Efficieny, Resiliance
Looks at areas cyclists struggle with the most: mobility, stability, muscular endurance, movement efficiency, durability
Translates findings to your performance on the bike
Scored assessment leaves you with your top three performance limiters and a clear idea of where to focus on improving your body first
